Perry Timms is now in his 10th year in HR and is the most passionate and enthusiastic HR practitioner youre ever likely to meet..! A chartered Member of the CIPD, Perry is Head of HR (Talent & Organisational Development) A part of the Senior HR team at
the Big Lottery Fund (BIG). Perry is a considered an apostle within BIG and sets the benchmark for highly energised, positive approaches to work. Since 2006, Perry has forged a strong bond of trust across BIG - an organisation that distributes around ??650m of lottery money per year to worthy causes to help communities and those most in need.
Perry now leads a Talent & OD team who design and deliver a range of key activities covering grant making, improving performance, coaching, talent management, developing leaders and employee engagement. Perry set not only the 2009 Developing Talent agenda for 950 people he has now set out the Talent Unlimited 2015 vision for the future - which includes a focus on Social Media and integrated use of digital tools. Perry is also an in-house Executive Coach for high-potential staff, Directors and Senior Managers and is qualified in a wide range of psychometric tools. Perry has experience of several successful accreditations around IiPand EFQM at organisational levels.
Perry is also an in-demand and highly engaging speaker - having delivered speeches at the last 6 major CIPD conferences, at the Henley Business School, Harvey Nash HR events and a number of leadership and talent development conferences and seminars
throughout 2011 and into 2012. Perry contributes articles and reviews for People Management magazine, Training Zone and is writing a series of blogs and books around HR and OD for publication in 2012-13.
Perry is highly charged towards the creation of a future-fit; transformational HR profession and is driven towards the discovery of workplace of the future trends.
Perry shares his insight and views on the current and future state of HR with guest lecturing at Dublin City, Westminster, Birmingham City, Roehampton and South Bank Universities, and is an avid user of Social Networks (Twitter & LinkedIn).
